Hello!
I’m Emily Joy, a certified Integrative Nutrition health coach, and my jam is helping busy gals over 40 lose weight and destress with balanced nutrition, movement and self-care.
I am also a 49-year coffee loving wife with a blended family of 4 kids. Two are now in college and one is a high school cheerleader, and 1 is newly married and just starting a family, so I total get all the busyness and stresses daily life can bring.
I also understand what it is like to try like ALL the diets and not see a lasting result, because trust me, I have literally done them all, or at least it feels that way. Before obtaining my nutrition certifications, I made being healthy complicated with lots of silly “rules”. These rules only added more stress and frustration and were rarely sustainable over a long period of time. Still, nutrition has always been a passion of mine and I am grateful that I had to learn to remove so many of the diet culture ideologies of my past, so that I could take what I have learned and coach other women in reaching their optimum balanced, healthiest life now and into the future.
I love hanging out in my kitchen, prepping and cooking nourishing foods that support my active lifestyle and nourish my family. I have fallen in love with resistance training, and I love how just adding that into my day has improved my movement, strength and function! I love a good book and a good podcast. But my ultimate happy place is when I can get out in nature in any season and walk, which I try to do daily.
